2018 Chevy Bolt EV Offers More Than Great Gas-Free Range

By Justin Cupler | November 6th, 2018

The 2018 Chevrolet Bolt EV has a lot to offer, but most know it for its impressive 238-mile range. This gives it more than enough for the average commuter and them some. But the Bolt EV is a lot more than just great EV range — it has a lot of features to offer to. Here’s what you get from the two Bolt EV trims.

2018 Chevrolet Bolt EV LT

The 2018 Chevy Bolt lineup starts with the LT trim level, which bases from $37,495. After you consider the potential $7,500 federal tax rebate for buying this EV, you are looking at $29,995 net price. For this scratch, you get a well-equipped electric vehicle with an exterior that comes equipped with 17-inch aluminum wheels, HID headlights, LED daytime running lights, bright window molding, body-color door handles, gloss-black mirror caps, automatic headlights, a rear wiper, and Michelin self-sealing tires.

Inside, the features keep coming. The 2018 Bolt EV LT comes with 10 airbags, a leather-wrapped shifter knob, rearview camera, keyless entry and ignition, automatic climate control, 8-inch customizable instrument cluster, 10.2-inch Chevrolet MyLink infotainment system, dual front USB ports, SiriusXM, and a 60/40 split-folding rear seat.

Besides this long list of standard features, the Bolt EV LT also has plenty of optional packages too. They’re as follows:

Comfort and Convenience Package

This package makes your ride a little more comfortable with heated front seats, a three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel with automatic heat, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror for just $555.

Driver Confidence Package

For an extra $495, this package adds a few extra safety bits, including rear park assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane-change alert with blind-zone monitoring.

Interior Protection Package

This package runs $200 and protects the interior with all-weather floor mats and cargo mat.

Winter/Summer Floor Mat Package

This package will set you back $260 and includes two sets of floor mats. You not only get premium carpeted floor mats for the summer and spring, but you also get all-weather floor mats for the messier seasons.

2018 Chevrolet Bolt EV Premier

The 2018 Chevy Bolt EV Premier starts from $41,780, which puts you at $34,280 after federal tax rebate. Besides the LT trim’s exterior features, the Premier adds 17-inch ultra-bright machined-aluminum wheels, mirror-integrated side-view mirrors, body-color door handles with a chrome strip, and roof rails.

Inside, the Premier trim adds leather seats, heated front and rear outboard seats, silver center-stack trim, leather-wrapped and heated steering wheel, auto-dimming rearview mirror, surround-view camera, ambient interior lighting, blind-zone alert, rear cross-traffic alert, rear park assist, a rear camera mirror, rear armrest, and a false cargo floor.

Like the LT trim, the Bolt EV Premier has a few packages to choose from, and they are as follows:

Infotainment Package

This package add $485 to the Chevy Bolt Premier’s bottom line and includes wireless cellphone charging, a Bose premium seven-speaker audio system with a subwoofer, and two USB charging ports in the rear.

Driver Confidence II Package

This package puts just an extra $495 on the Bolt EV Premier’s price and adds valuable safety bits like adaptive headlights, a following distance indicator, low-speed automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert, and lane-keep assist with lane-departure warning.

Interior Protection Package

Same as the LT trim, this package adds all-weather floor mats and cargo mat for $200.

Winter/Summer Floor Mat Package

This package also mimics the one available in the LT trim. It costs $260 and adds one set of all-weather floor mats and one set of premium carpeted floor mats.
